Creating a Compelling Cover Letter
In the older days it was possible to send your covering letter to the interviewer in a simple way. But the competition in today’s world demands you to be one step ahead of everyone or atleast together them, you just cannot lag behind. Unless you know the person whom you have sent the covering letter things would not work out for you. You may think that what’s wrong in including just a few minor lies and building up your covering letter, you have not made a crime as big as a bank robbery or you have not hurt anyone by doing this. You have just added some stars that are not visible. These all thoughts end up at once when you are caught cheating.
You need to justify left your document with margin 6.5. The size of font must be around 12 point and the type of font used must be courier or courier new. There must no bold letters, italics or underline made in the covering letter. If you intend to use any tables make sure they are in the text format and separate them by commas. Convert any special character to the basic keyboard function, for example convert the numberings into the normal format of asterisks. You may remove one or two points from it as per your need.
In the last few paragraph you need to show that you are concerned about this job and you would like to make the most of the opportunity given and asking the hiring official to provide a contact number and the proper e-mail address. This is the covering letter type I mentioned earlier. These covering letters are for presenting the content cleanly and nicely. You can use good looking and attractive fonts and these are the most used ones. They are being used for long to impress the interviewer but in today’s world you need to add more than this.
