However, the quality of the database of the employers and/or recruiters determines the quality of service you receive.
Be sure that the distribution service allows you to target your employers by certain criteria like industry, job functions and geographical area. It makes no sense targeting an employer if your job criteria do not match.
In order to get the best results in both the cases, your résumé has to be well maintained. An ill maintained résumé will hardly yield any response in distribution service and may be not at all in posting service.
Whether you choose posting service or distributing service, both will help you in your job search. You might not want to pay money and choose posting, however in reality, distribution service is worth the amount you pay. Your great résumé and a good quality distribution service will provide you with many important leads in your job search and would also bring you in contact with influential hiring professionals.
