If this statistics is true then all of us have a pretty good chance of being unemployed at a certain moment of our life. Some people are ready for this kind of situation while others don't know what they should be doing apart from sending out their resume to all potential employers. But apart from writing/sending a resume there are plenty of things one should do in order to increase his/her chances of getting a job. We decided to share those things today with our readers...

No Time to Relax

unemployedIf you are sitting at your couch relaxing and thinking that you will quickly find a new job then you probably don't know anything about how the job market works. Unless you don't care what kind of job you should get. For those pursuing a successful career, it takes much more time and efforts to get the desired position. If are currently unemployed it might be a good idea to start volunteering. We are talking about volunteering experience relevant to the job you are looking for. Very often there multiple organization around us who need specialized assistance in specific fields, but because they don't have enough money to hire professionals they keep looking for volunteers. So become one to enhance your resume and keep your skills fresh. Another opportunity offered by unemployed is freelancing. For some reason, many people don't like the idea of working part-time, when there is a good opportunity.

The most widespread myth about freelancing is that it cannot cover full-time employment and offer the same opportunities as the company can offer. This is not true. If utilized wisely, freelancing can not only boost your resume, portfolio, and skills, but it can actually become your primary occupation. There are multiple online freelance platforms offering a wide range of job opportunities. It can either fill your career gap or become your full-time employment. Networking is another thing you should be doing while unemployed. Be networking we basically mean reconnecting with an old contact of yours as well as forming new contacts. It is crucially important if you want to find a job quickly. Just get in touch with them (have a coffee together, make a call, send an email, etc...) and let them know you are looking for a job. They might know something or someone who could help you out. After you have contacted a bunch of them don't forget to follow up. Remember, people won't be thinking about you and your employment unless you make them. Remind them about yourself.

No Time to Relax

Obviously, apart from doing those things you should also take care of your resume. It should be updated and relevant to the job you are searching for. Besides, in freelancing as well as in networking you may be asked to provide a resume. So don't forget to tailor your resume to the position you will be applying for. If you don't know how to do it you can entrust this case to us. Our experienced writers will be able to highlight the right points of your experience and skills to make your application stand out among the rest.

Thank you for the wonderful resume and layout. I am pleased with the work. My job search will kick into high gear in December so I will probably be using cover letter service then. Please add the gaduation date from Excel Technical college as 1998. Thank you so much.

Well written and it doesn't concentrate on the foodservice manager, a field I do not want to work in.

I wanted to let you know that I got the resume the very day you sent it out. My interview was scheduled for Tuesday and that same night, by 10 pm, I got an email from the principal informing me that the position was mine. The result was superquick!!! The job’s at the school I really wanted to be a part of. Thanks a million!!!
