How to Ruin a Job Interview?

You have spent hours developing an effective resume. You actually tailored your resume before sending to every job opening that seemed to be appealing enough. After all, you have succeeded because you received multiple interview invitations. But does that really mean success? Not really. Unless you are hired your job search efforts can hardly be called successful. Despite the interest in your candidacy employers can still be turning you down based on how you pass an interview. It may sound weird but some people are actually experts at ruining their interviews either by realizing what they are doing or not.

Ruining a Job Interview Is Easy

desperateWe have to say it doesn't take much to fail at a job interview. All you have to do is forget that you have an interview scheduled. If you didn't do that, there are still many things you can do to ruin an interview. The very first thing you could do to accomplish that mission is to ignore the preparation. Don't bother to look up the company on the internet nor search for any specific things that could help be specific about what the company needs in terms of new perspectives. People who don't care to prepare for an interview by equipping themselves with the information rarely have any chances to get hired by a successful company.

Secondly, if you really want to dump any interview you could just be late and behave yourself like you are the king of the universe and every company should beg you to work for them. It may seem like a crazy idea but you will be surprised how many candidates actually do in essence the very same thing. They come in and you could see that the only thing that interests them is how big the salary is, how many vacation days the company provides, etc. They are all focused on how much they can get out of the company without saying a word about what they can bring into the organization. That's how kings of the universe usually behave...

Lastly, when you are done answering questions from the HR side you could just ignore the opportunity to ask some Just say that you don't have any questions or something like that. This way you will show that you really have no interest in the job. This way you will also save your time as you won't have to prepare a list of question. Besides, asking questions requires thinking and that is very boring and troublesome sometimes. The article is about ruining a job interview after all.

Thank you for the wonderful resume and layout. I am pleased with the work. My job search will kick into high gear in December so I will probably be using cover letter service then. Please add the gaduation date from Excel Technical college as 1998. Thank you so much.

Well written and it doesn't concentrate on the foodservice manager, a field I do not want to work in.

I wanted to tell you that my resume now looks very, very impressive. It’s perfection itself!

I wanted to let you know that I got the resume the very day you sent it out. My interview was scheduled for Tuesday and that same night, by 10 pm, I got an email from the principal informing me that the position was mine. The result was superquick!!! The job’s at the school I really wanted to be a part of. Thanks a million!!!

Thanks to your resume, I got calls from companies of a much higher caliber. It definitely beats the one I made for myself. Thanks!
