Resume Writing Compatible with Mobile Recruiting

Today we live in a totally different world than we lived 30 years ago. The development of modern technologies has significantly changed our lives touching almost all aspects of our being. Computers and mobile technologies have often been a center of those changes. As new trends arise people try to adjust themselves in order to be successful in one field or another and career management is not an exception. One of the upcoming trends in this area is mobile recruiting which is not very popular today but it surely getting more and more widespread among hiring managers. People who are responsible for hiring personnel putting more time and efforts into mobile recruiting is a response to job seekers investing their time into looking for jobs on their phones.

Developing a Mobile Friendly Resume

mobile_phone_hand_w1024If you have never thought of creating a mobile-friendly resume it should be something you should start thinking about. There is nothing to worry about at the moment because this trend is only to become a reality of job search. So one has enough time to make a resume mobile friendly, and thus increase one's chances of getting an interview invitation. The question is how job seekers are to update their CVs and resumes so that they would be more mobile friendly? It doesn't take much time and efforts to do it. You only need to know what you should be doing and that is something we are going to cover in this article. The very first thing you should do is to try and open your resume on different devices. Such a test will help you understand what is wrong with your resume and what you should do to make it better. This kind of testing should be your first and last step in order to check whether you did everything correctly.

Keep in mind that that hiring authorities may use phones as well as tablets which means those are of different screen sizes. Additionally, depending on what operating system a device uses the opening of documents might differ as well. So it is best if you test how your resume opens on different devices and different operating systems and software. If you are talking about a job search there couldn't be anything worse than sending a resume to HR who can't open it (or when he does it looks completely distorted). If you have a long resume or CV consider making it shorter and more simple. Look at your phone, how much space you've got on your screen. You probably don't have a lot of room on it unless you are using a huge tablet-phone. No one wants to read a resume that needs to be scrolled down multiple times on a mobile device... Keep in short and concise so that hiring authorities could read from their phone. When you list your contact details leave your cell phone number instead of a landline and don't forget to include an email. The reason for that is the hiring process today can be done via messaging (SMS or email). So don't exclude yourself from the list of potential candidates by leaving out such important information as your contact email and phone number.

Job Search Applications

If you want to keep up with new trends in a job search you have to learn to use new job search apps on your mobile devices. There are many applications available for free that could help you in your job search efforts. Some of them can even become a substitute for a resume. Such additional tools will grant you more job opportunities at almost no cost. Now we don't want to promote any of the apps but you will surely be able to find those who would help you find a good job.

Thank you for the wonderful resume and layout. I am pleased with the work. My job search will kick into high gear in December so I will probably be using cover letter service then. Please add the gaduation date from Excel Technical college as 1998. Thank you so much.

Well written and it doesn't concentrate on the foodservice manager, a field I do not want to work in.

I wanted to let you know that I got the resume the very day you sent it out. My interview was scheduled for Tuesday and that same night, by 10 pm, I got an email from the principal informing me that the position was mine. The result was superquick!!! The job’s at the school I really wanted to be a part of. Thanks a million!!!
