6. You can write better than software or templates. Using software or templates may help you write your résumé, you might be able to make use of some of the features offered, choose among them and learn and use a lot of phrases; however, they are no guarantee that you will be called for an interview. The best is to write effectively.

7. Hobbies and interests: inclusions and exclusions. Mentioning your hobbies and interest will help you as long as your hobbies and interest are relevant to the post you are applying for. Instead of mentioning hobbies like ‘reading', ‘listening to music', ‘traveling' ‘gardening' etc, mention the ones that might reflect on your job skills. Some hobbies and interest can do more harm than benefit to your résumé and to you. Once again do not add what is not required; hiring professionals do not want to go through everything. 8.

Writing about your job experiences

When it comes to describing your job experiences, it is important to make it a bit of interesting and exciting. Many résumés are dull and drab. Recruiters do not feel any interest in it. Your résumé should speak about your abilities. When you write about your experiences from your past job, choose words and sentences to make your point clear. Make your statement strong and effective. It is all about the selection of right words and phrases.

9. Using assistance. You want to write a résumé for yourself, no doubt, you can. In fact, you will write exactly what you want or how you want it to be written. But a little help once in a while is not a bad idea. However, think before you take any body's help. The person you choose must not be someone who did it years ago or someone who may not know how to write a résumé. Choosing them would only make matters worse.

10. Writing skills. Your résumé highlights your writing skills; therefore it is important to be careful with your grammar and your punctuation. For those who are not so good at writing, they must take the help of someone who can help them with it. No matter what, you cannot hide the flaws in a badly written résumé. Such résumé will never get you an interview. You can forget about the post.

Your résumé is your door to SUCCESS. Make sure you take care of the above mentioned mistakes, if you are sincere about getting a job for yourself. Remember no rules, only guidelines, follow it as you write your résumé. You can do it. Now you know how to write a résumé that will get the recruiters interested.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the wonderful resume and layout. I am pleased with the work. My job search will kick into high gear in December so I will probably be using cover letter service then. Please add the gaduation date from Excel Technical college as 1998. Thank you so much.

Well written and it doesn't concentrate on the foodservice manager, a field I do not want to work in.

I wanted to let you know that I got the resume the very day you sent it out. My interview was scheduled for Tuesday and that same night, by 10 pm, I got an email from the principal informing me that the position was mine. The result was superquick!!! The job’s at the school I really wanted to be a part of. Thanks a million!!!

Thanks to your resume, I got calls from companies of a much higher caliber. It definitely beats the one I made for myself. Thanks!
